THE CABINET OF CURIOSITIES
Many artefacts have been lost only to be found again years later. It could be said that the most exciting aspect of rediscovery, is the moment of anticipation just before details of the lost item are finally revealed. My exhibit acknowledges and serves to prolong the excitement of anticipation by presenting historic books within a closed cabinet, preserving forever the moment of anticipation, excitement, and rediscovery. The anticipated action of clearing the dust would reveal hidden titles, dispelling expectancy and thrill.
